5 Strategies To Leverage Video Marketing

Video Marketing

The cost of not leveraging video marketing is greater than the cost of production altogether.

According to Hubspot, 61% of companies have started leveraging video marketing in 2016. That number will increase so, don’t be left behind.

As a BossBabe, you must start ‘owning’ video. Stop asking yourself “when is the right time” and start doing video now.

Here are five compelling strategies to leverage video marketing.

1. Position Yourself As An Authority

Many people create their online TV shows to position their self as an authority figure online, and that’s an option, however, have you thought about leveraging other people’s websites and offering honest and real video testimonials for them?

If a mentor in your life has helped you 10x your income or helped you release 100 lbs then why keep it a secret? Give important endorsements to expand the reach, and touch more lives.

By sharing useful testimonials, it creates a ripple effect. The mentor may invite you on stages, webinars, podcasts, etc. to share your message.

2. Build Instant Rapport & Personal Connection

Video is one of the best online strategies to build instant rapport and personal connection. You may run video ads for 1 cent per view and take in cold traffic which may have never heard of you before, and you follow them around the Internet.

Perhaps, you didn’t join someone’s email list, and they follow you around in articles, Youtube ads, games, etc. It’s comparable to finding a lost puppy following you around the streets. You don’t necessarily want to take in another puppy or any puppy for that matter but, you are interested in learning why this ‘puppy’ is following you around.

You also have the capability to stop seeing some ads on certain platforms.

3. Storytellers Always Win Especially With Video

Let’s be real, every time you are at an event, the speakers who captivate you the most are the storytellers. They walk on the stage and tell a captivating story that increases your typically short attention span.

The storytellers who can hold a human attention span for 100x longer than a goldfish wins. And, the same goes with video.

Raise a level of consciousness through video to connect people to ideas and stories to lead more impactful lives.

4. Videos Attract Mobile Users

More Google searches take place on mobile devices than on computers in 10 countries including the U.S. and Japan. (Google, 2015). And after watching a video, 64% of users are more likely to buy a product according to Hubspot.

Rule of thumb: Within the first 5 seconds, the video needs to be eye-catching. Talking heads may do the trick at times, however, if you want to increase conversions, you need to get more creative with B-roll (the in-between shots which move the story forward and creates motion in the video).

An example would be if I were talking about skydiving, the editor would add in some clips of someone jumping out of a plane or perhaps some cinematographic shots of the person pulling the cord. Whether you use slow-mo or other editing capabilities is your choice.

On another note, there’s a good amount of people who like to watch videos with no noise so, captions are a must. You can use sites like rev.com or cielo24.com to add captions to videos.

5. Automate Your Business Effectively

Did you know that including a video on a landing page can increase conversion 90% according to Hubspot? Now, think about all of the areas where you could leverage video production to increase sales conversions, better team productivity, reduce cost to capture leads, maintain key relationships with stakeholders, etc.
