What’s better than running your global empire from your iPhone whilst getting a pedicure? Doing it in the sunshine!
Here at Boss Babe, we’re all about building global empires that create both location and financial freedom.
So this week, we’re interviewing our very own Happiness Coach and Mindset Boss, Niyc Pidgeon about her very own global empire.
Ready to find out what it takes to turn your passion into profit?
So Niyc, you’ve been sharing your wisdom here at Boss Babe for a little while now – what’s your favorite aspect of being part of the BossBabe team?
Hey! I absolutely love the strong sense of community that Boss Babe nurtures, and how many people we are able to help around the world. It’s my life’s mission to be able to help and empower women to live with more joy, personal power, and unstoppable success, and Boss Babe is the perfect community to create that!
What do you think has been the biggest key to your success?
I would say the answer to that is three-fold. Firstly, I am not afraid of hard work. I have put in the hours when it comes to study and working on both myself and my business. It’s 10 years of hard work that make an overnight success!
Secondly, I have invested in myself first, as I understand that I am my greatest asset, and the more I grow, the more I can help people through my work. Thirdly, I have learned to really, deeply, and truly believe in myself.
Without this, you’re going nowhere. The entrepreneurial journey is filled with twists and turns and you must be strong enough to weather the storm when it hits. It’s not always easy to believe in yourself, but with practice and support you can build it every day.
Positive Psychology is your area of expertise, and you’ve led a Boss Babe Master Class on the topic (you can find it in the Boss Babe Academy), but for those that might still be unsure, tell us exactly what Positive Psychology is…
PosPsych is the science of happiness, and the study of how individuals, communities, and businesses thrive. I see Positive Psychology as being a great umbrella under which thriving businesses and people can be developed. The concepts are so valuable and transcend time and situation. We can all benefit so much from them!
What have been the high points of your career so far? Tell us the best bits!
When you do what you love, it seems like a high point every day! I really love speaking and writing, and so having my book published by Hay House and also being able to speak on stage in front of audiences of thousands are really huge accomplishments. I’ve spoken around the world in places like Miami, Hollywood, Santa Barbara, London, Amsterdam, Brisbane and Wellington. Working with women and seeing them achieve amazing things within themselves and their businesses is always priceless too.
What has been the most challenging element of your journey so far? I’m sure other Boss Babes will be able to relate to some of the struggles you have encountered and learn from how you made it work.
One of the challenges I have been experiencing recently is definitely with my health. I know as a female entrepreneur it’s easy to put so much pressure on yourself to do more, more, more, and I have definitely been guilty of this at times.
Whether it’s working long hours, taking multiple flights, or working to a deadline for my book, there have definitely been times when I’ve pushed myself too far, and my body has wanted to give up. I’ve learned to look after myself much more, and to take time just to do nothing, rather than work all of the time.
I would definitely recommend combining hustle mode with radical and planned self care time for all those Boss Babes reading this right now – you need a strong and healthy body to keep you energized, motivated, and sharp. Your global empire needs you to be at your best!
Boss Babe is all about helping ambitious millennials to live the good life. What three bits of life advice can you offer to everyone reading to help them achieve this?
Awesome question! Okay, so for me, living the good life is all about being content in yourself, enjoying your experiences, and knowing you are contributing to something greater than yourself. My three pieces of advice are:
- Get to know yourself better than anything else. When you master your inner world, you are able to master your outer world.
- Surround yourself by high vibe people and places. When you immerse yourself in an environment that is supportive of your happiness and success, you are way more likely to be able to create it.
- Don’t take yourself so seriously. Life is supposed to be fun – and believe it or not, so is business. Make sure you enjoy your journey and make happy memories along the way.
