Get over Regret and start Living

There is nothing worse than being captivated by your regrets in the past. To move forward in life, you have to burn your past and never look back.

As we are writing a new chapter in our life, a fresh start in 2018 to make a commitment to yourself that this year is going to be free of guilt and regret. What happened has happened? You can’t change your past but you can make a great present that can erase your whole past for good.

Here are simple tools which can help you to get rid of this heavy burden and live the life you deserve to have:

*Accept and forgive yourself:

The problem arises when we tend to deny what we have done rather than admitting and taking full responsibility for our mistakes, so we can learn from them and avoid repeating the same mistakes again.

This heavy burden can destroy your health, relationships, career and your whole life.

Forgive yourself and accept and let go of this burden right now at this very moment and accept that we are human beings, we are fallible, we make mistakes and that is a part of the process to grow up and evolve.

*Replace Self-hatred with Self-love:

Love is the secret weapon to get over any misfortune or hardship in your life. Once you embrace this concept and free your heart from any resentment, you will be freeing your soul and mind so they can focus ONLY on what brings happiness and joy into your life.

*Monitor your Negative thoughts and what triggers them:

Your own thoughts are playing a vital role in shaping your destiny. Bring a journal with you wherever and whenever there is a negative thought write it down and look for the reasons behind and replace it with the exact opposite so if you caught yourself telling, it’s over! I failed. say, I will try again and I can do it better this time.

This simple twist will feed your subconscious which dominates the thinking system so you give it meaningful words that can be translated later to a fruitful result. So feed your mind with positive affirmations whenever you catch a negative thought slipping in.

Make your thoughts work for your benefits as you are the master of your own ship.

*Be Grateful:

Start your day with writing what you are grateful for I won’t give you an exact number some people write 3, others 5 but you can make it to 10 as you like but let your heart be preset with every time you count your blessings to witness God’s will of turning your misery into happiness and make you alive.

*Embrace your character:

We forgot what makes us special, makes us loveable and unique so pause from time to time and think of what attracts people to you? What makes you a special person that someone wished to be in your shoes? Cherish what you have and look for ways to make yourself more desirable.
