How To Promote Your Products In Your Blog Posts

It’s no surprise that blogging can be a lucrative business. We open up our Instagram feeds every day to see bloggers travelling to globe, wearing designer outfits, and getting paid big bucks to take pictures and Instagram stories documenting their day.

But what about when you’re an entrepreneur with your own products and services? How do you use your love of writing to your advantage?

Well, as someone who has turned my blog into my business, I can tell you that when you blog with a well-crafted strategy, you can turn your words into 5-figure months by following the right formula.

While typical fashion bloggers only make a commission on the sales they generate on their posts through influencer marketing- as an female entrepreneur, you get to keep the entire revenue generated from your well crafted articles.

As long as you create a focus on your audience, make sure you’ve REALLY nailed down your target customer avatar, and you’re creating content they’re excited about reading, you can have a higher ROI on your blog than even bloggers do, by cutting out the middle man and delivering your readers straight to your product.

Here are 3 tips on how to create revenue from your online presence and promote your products in your blog posts:

make money from bloggingKnow who you’re writing to

It is essential in your business that you have a clear idea of who your client avatar is. You should have a specific person in mind for every piece of content you create who your products and services help. Dig deep to really understand who this person is, their age, their habits, and why they would be interested in your products.

I even recommend to my one-on-one coaching clients, who are mainly female entrepreneurs, to put a face to their target client avatar so that they really feel like they can connect to that person through their content, by adding a picture of what he/she would look like.

You need to remember that even though you are writing online to thousands of people, when someone consumes your content, they are most likely alone, so you want to ensure your content connects in the right way to the person who is reading.

If you’re not sure what kind of products your target audience would like, a great way to find out is to ask your target audience in facebook groups what products they would be interested in purchasing. That way, you don’t waste your time creating + promoting a product that no one really wants!

Create amazing value through your content

If you want to become a trusted source for your ideal customer to come back again and again to your blog, you want to make sure you’re giving them value.

People tend to enjoy reading blogs where they are constantly inspired, or learn valuable information.

I knew that my target audience was really interested in learning how to create consistent income in their business, after sending out a survey to find out what they really wanted, I created a FREE 5-Day course on The 5C’s of Creating Consistent Income In Your Business. My audience was SO thankful for it, I grew my list exponentially, and everyone commented that they loved and really needed the strategies I shared.

Make sure that your blog is a trusted source for your target audience to come back to again and again.

If they really enjoy your blog, and trust your recommendations, it will be easy to promote your products to your readers and have them be receptive to them.

By ensuring that your content really stands out from the rest of the articles online, you’ll build a customer base of people who love your products and service.

Make your products naturally flow into the article

No one wants to read articles where they feel like they’re constantly being sold to. You really want to promote products and services that will truly help your target audience solve their problems, and create a life they love.

That being said, creating valuable content that helps your readers gives you a perfect environment to  position your products as a natural solution to their problems.

For example, if you are someone who sells health supplements that boost energy, and you know your target audience is struggling with feeling tired all the time, you could create content that helps them solve their problems,

For example, writing an article called “5 ways to have more energy that lasts all day” would be a topic that excites your readers and helps them solve their biggest problem.

In your article, you can share a variety of ways to increase energy through the day such as “getting more sleep” or “drinking more water” and one of your tips could be to start using the supplement you sell.

This way, you are creating valuable content that truly helps your readers, but also creating content that aligns to your business strategy as well.

Always remember the Gary Vaynerchuk saying “Jab, Jab, Jab- Right Hook”. The “jabs” are providing amazing content and value to your followers. The “right hook” is promoting your products. You want to ensure that you have a good balance of both to give your readers an amazing experience with you and your brand.

Once you get the hang of this, and you start driving traffic to your blog, you’ll be able to create consistent income from your blog, while helping people all over the world and building relationships with them.
