9 Things To Do If You’re Having A Bad Day

Building a business does not come with a manual but it definitely comes with stress. The good news is that your day doesn’t have to keep being miserable. Here are nine things to do if you’re having a bad day

1. Focus on what you’ve got done up to this point

The best way to bring things into perspective is to look at how much you’ve accomplished. You probably have way more done than you give yourself credit for. You’ll see how quickly this perspective can enhance your attitude and add some sparkle if you’re having a bad day.

2. Remember that following your dreams makes you happy

Someone might be telling you that your dreams an goals are unrealistic or not guaranteed. The truth is, very little in life is “for sure”. Even a full-time job with benefits can disappear with a stroke of a pen. Don’t attach yourself so much to the fears and stay true to your passion. Life is short. Sh*t happens.

3. You are being adventurous 

If you’re having a bad day because of your business you need to remember that you are different from the crowd. Starting your own business is not something everyone can do! It’s perfectly normal for people to not understand your ambition. It can be a lot for people to handle sometimes.

4. Bad days are super normal

You’re going to have bad days. Some times once a week. Sometimes once a month. They are totally normal. It’s important to recognize when these days happen so that you can do what you need to do to replenish yourself. You can even try to pinpoint what causes a bad day for you and try to prevent it from coming again in the future.

5. If you’re having a bad day, eat some f*cking chocolate

6. Take a break

I know reality TV and binge Instagram stalking but sometimes, a girl just needs a break. Grab your phone and indulge in Pinterest or Tumblr. Try to sneak in a nap. You’ll feel much better. I promise.

7. Tell the people that you love that you love them

Sometimes our stress is caused by thinking too much about ourselves. Focus on the people you love today. Send a sweet text to your boyfriend. Do something nice for your friend. Call you parents up and thank them for making a delusional, ambitious millennial.

8. Listen to “Survivor”

Maybe what you need is a kick from Beyonce’s younger and potentially more power hungry voice in “Survivor”. It’s okay. You can jam out to this. We won’t tell anybody.

9. Think about how good this will look in your biography 

All your panic attacks are going to look awesome once you accomplish everything. People love hearing about the struggles of successful people. You can’t have people thinking that the journey of success is all rainbows and smiles. Flaunt those struggles. You work hard dammit.
